Difficulty level and why:  It is like making cookies and two frostings.  Not difficult, just a lot of steps.  

What the family thought: The frosting made the rice crispies soggy.  The cookies were rock hard.  It may be our fault, but we followed the recipe.  The kids did not ask for seconds afterward.  The recipe said to cook for 15-17 minutes.  I would go with 9-11 minutes to start and not crispy.

What the consultant thought: The frosting and ganache were good.  The cookie was too crunchy.

Difficulty level and why: You have to toast the nuts, make brown butter, and make homemade caramel (recipe is not included).  It well worth it.  It is much better hot.

What the family thought: This was good. The ice cream and homemade caramel helped

Difficulty level and why: You have to juice (squeeze out the water) of the shredded zucchini.  That was weird.  Otherwise it was a basic drop cookie. There is no vanilla which is weird

What the family thought: The two youngest came in with a preconceived notion they were going to be gross.  we made them eat an entire cookie and they changed their minds.  Elyk was confused because he expected to taste zucchini and didn't

 What was the favorite cookie: Maple Glazed Apple Crisps and Soft and chewy Ginger cookies were teh favorite this quarter

What was the least favorite cookie: White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies and Butterscotch Potato Chip balls were the least favorite

What did you learn from the experience:

Cool Man: some things that seem disgusting in a cookie may not be. 

ZombieFace: Sometimes a cookie can look very bad but be very good and vice versa. Cocoa is not very good

Elyk: Anything can be good.  It is good to try different things

Mom: Some cookies should not be made. potato chips do not belong in cookies

Dad: Too much of one thing (cardamom) will ruin it for everything.  I cannot stand the smell of cardamom anymore.  Kids don't believe parents they they say the powdered Hersey chocolate is not good, but it made a great video.

From Scratch Brownie Cookies

Difficulty level and why:  The brownies are made separately and then added in later.  The brownies are not great by themselves.  We did not have mini chocolate  chips so we used the normal ones. 

What the family thought: The people that liked chocolate like the cookie.  Those that did not brought the cookie down.  We are concerned for these people.  I think we ruined Cool Man with plain baking coco.  He does not like anything with the powder in it
